OP_ST

There is two types of OP_ST or Operation State files.

  1. OP_ST.###
  2. OPAVG

OP_ST.###

The OP_ST.### is the operation state and that includes what motors are enable/disable, how the instrument is setup hardware wise, sightings and etc. Some of these items are controlled via Instrument Control routine.

Data folder locationShow where the data folder is located. Note: If dosbox or similar dos emulator is used, this may not be exactly where actual data resides on the computer. The root directory maybe setup differently depending on the config file for the emulator.
ICF in usePoints to the Instrument Configuration File(ICF) in use. this should be inside the instrument constant folder found inside the Data director and with the instrument serial number.
IE: C:\Br#026\Data\026\icf12312.026.
Note: file extension is not required in here, however the extension for the actual file should be the serial number.
ZSF in usePoints to the Zenith Sky File(ZSF) in use. this should be inside the instrument constant folder found inside the Data director and with the instrument serial number.
IE: C:\Br#026\Data\026\zsf12312.026.
Note: file extension is not required in here, however the extension for the actual file should be the serial number.
DCF in usePoints to the Dispersion Constant Sky File(s)(dcf) in use. this should be inside the instrument constant folder found inside the Data director and with the instrument serial number. Files required are dcfjjjyy.###, dcfjjjyy.###.dwl and optional if cubic is used, ccfjjjyy.###

Note2: ccfjjjyy.### is renamed from dcfjjjyy.###.cubic
UVR in usePoints to the UV Response(UVR) in use. this should be inside the instrument constant folder found inside the Data director and with the instrument serial number.
IE: C:\Br#026\Data\026\uvr12312.026.

HourThe current time (Hours). This does not need to be modified as the software will update this automatically
MinutesThe current time (Minutes). This does not need to be modified as the software will update this automatically
Location NameThe name of the location the brewer is operating at. \\IE: Toronto
LatitudeThe latitude the Brewer is currently operating at.
LongitudeThe longitude the Brewer is currently operating at.
NOTE: This number is inverted so the longitude you should use is actually Longitude * -1.
IE: Toronto longitude is -43.781, the value you enter here should be 43.781.
Attitude in pressureThis needs to be converted via….
MUThe current MU the brewer is measuring at. This does not need to be modified as the software will update this automatically
North CorrectionThis is the north correction used during a sighting.
Horizontal Correction This is the horizontal correction used during a sighting.
Steps per Revolution This is the number of steps it takes for the tracker to complete one full revolution. This is updated via the software using SR routine
Zenith DriveEnable/disable the zenith motor.
0 - Disable

Azimuth DriveEnable/disable the azimuth motor.

Iris DriveEnable/disable the iris motor.

Filter wheel 1Enable/disable the filter wheel 1 motor.

Clock BoardEnable or disable the use of the clockboard. Most modern brewers are not actually using the function of the clock board to set the time. Normally the software will do that via TD.

UVB PortEnable if the instrument has an UVB Port.

A/D BoardEnable or disable the use of the a/d board.

Filter wheel 3Enable/disable the filter wheel 3 motor.

New Temp circuitEnable if the Multiboard electronics is using a new temperature circuit.

4 bit optionIn this line, the number can be from 0 to 15. Convert that into binary and each bit is used for the following items.
Bit 1: If second polarize is used.
Bit 2: IOS UART Board - Enable if the Brewer is using IOS UART board.
Bit 3: PCB Board is in use
Bit 4: Thin ground quartz in filterwheel 1, position 5. When enabled, this will use this position to run RS/DT instead of filterwheel 1, position 1.

O3 xsec B&P=n SER=yThis picks which ozone cross section is used.
0 - Bass & Paur

Wide HG SlitEnable if the HG slit in the slitmask is wide. Most newer brewer has a wide HG slit mask. This can be easily seen via RS if the instrument is setup correctly.

New ElectronicsEnable if the Brewer is using the new Single Board Electronics.

Moisture SensorEnable if the Brewer is humidity sensor (IOS).
