This routine scans an external lamp to cover the range 286.5 - 363 nm. On a MKIV, slit #1 is used up to 325 nm. On a MKIII, slit #1 is used up to 350 nm. FW#3 is switched from the NiSO4+UG11 position (242) to the open position (50) during the slit change on a MKIV. This is unnecessary on a MKIII. Also, FW#2 is switched (on a MKIV) to a higher neutral density filter position at 325 nm. The zenith prism is rotated to the UV dome, FW#2 is set to the 1 position, FW#1 is set to the 3 position, the iris is opened, and the Tracker is rotated to the sun. The operator is asked for lamp number and lamp-diffuser separation, and the radiation intensity is measured in 0.5nm increments over the extended UV range. Data is sampled for 30 cycle time increments through slit #1 for wavelengths less than 300nm and 20 cycle time increments through slit #5 for higher wavelengths. Data is stored in an XLJJJYY.nnn file and is normalized to 1 cycle observations.
