====== QL ======
=== Quick UV Lamp Scan ===
QL routine is used for performing UV calibrations on the Brewer Spectrometer. It is a test command that results in a UV scan being performed with a Lamp (rather than the sky) being the source of radiation.\\
The zenith prism is rotated to the UV dome, FW#2 is set to the "uv FW#2 Pos" recorded in the instrument constants file, FW#1 is set to the 3 position, the iris is opened, and the tracker is rotated to the sun (if the tracker is left powered during the test).\\
The operator is asked for lamp number, and lamp-diffuser separation (ECCC's Default setup uses 40cm), and the radiation intensity is measured in 1.5nm increments over the UVB range.
Data is stored in a QLJJJYY.nnn file.\\

===== TL;DR UV Calibration=====
**Note**: Before using this section, please go through and understand how to perform the UV calibration via the {{ :docs:uv_sop_2016_v2.1.pdf |UV SOP}}
- Run the pre-calibration command string. \\ For all instruments aside from MKIII:b1frhgsldtrsapFor MKIII instruments only:frhphgsldtrsap
- With the calibration lamp on, check and make sure the zenith offset is correct via zetutututupzze2
- Run an RU or restart dosbox so it won't run out of string space in the middle.
- Once the instrument is warmed up to temperature (Usually around 30c) run the uv calibration zehgb1qlhgzeb1qlhgsl or for MKIII instruments: zehphgb1qlhgzeb1qlhgsl
- For subsequent bulbs you can run the following without waiting for the bulb warmup (wait time included) zew2hgb1qlhgzeb1qlhgsl For MKIII instruments: zew1hgb1qlhgzeb1qlhgsl
