====== MKIII Brewer Firmware ======

===== Uploading a new firmware and config file =====

Requirement: 
  * {{ :software:brewcmd_v2.2.zip |BrewCMD}}
  * Firmware file (*.bin) in the same directory as brewCMD.exe
  * Corresponding Brewer config file (*.cfg) brewcmd.exe
  * (For linux operation, the *.bin and *.cfg should be located in /home/brewer/*)


  - Connect the brewer via BrewCMD
  - Enter load mode: <code>loadmode</code>
  - Change the baud rate of load mode to 4800: <code>loadmode 4800</code>
  - Flash the *.bin firmware (I.E. For V2 (split boards) board **V2R2C.bin** or For V1 board **V1R3A.bin** ) <code>load V2R2C.bin</code>**NOTE: DO NOTE UPLOAD** __V1R3A__ to the the newer 2 piece (Version 2) board as that will permanently damage the board.
  - BrewCMD will then display the following. <code>Erasing Flash memory. 
Writing file VR2R2C.bin to flash ....</code> 
  - Wait till process is completed it should output 112 dots.
  - Turn the instrument off for about 10 seconds then turning it back up
  - Enter op mode 9600. <code>opmode 9600</code>
  - Load the config into the brewer (I.E. brew190.cfg)<code>putcfg brew190.cfg</code> **NOTE: V1 and V2 board has different config layout**
  - Instruct the Brewer to use the new config <code>useconfig</code>
  - Wait about 5 minutes or so until the micrometer has stopped moving (otherwise you will get qserial timeout)
  - Save the config to the eeprom <code>save</code>
  - BrewCMD will display a number (4 or 32 when the firmware is just installed depending on the version of the board)
  - Return the brewer back to cosmac mode <code>loadmode
cosmacmode</code>
  - Exit BrewCMD and start dosbox <code>quit</code>
